I dismissed it with laughter when I first saw it, but maybe some of the joke was on me, for elements of it keep bothering me. I can't accept his genealogy, but I am certainly open to the idea that epistemologies are heavily historical.If you find the first half too shocking, realize it becomes less extravagant after about a 100 pages, and the middle part of the book has a lot to offer on Indian cultural history. Ultimately, I'd rather be provoked than bored by a book.As for the picture: what did Vilayat Khan think of this language mess? Can we ask him through the akashic records?
