This is one of my favorite books, because it reminds me of a time when something like this was possible, a time before the rise of the nation state in Anatolia and the Balkans.It's the New Testament in Ottoman Turkish (spoken, so relatively close to the Anatolian Turkish of our day).However, it's in Armenian script. The contradiction was not a contradiction back then, because many Armenians spoke Turkish as their first language.The image is of Surp Krikor Luisavorich, but I couldn't find a larger one.With wishes for happiness in that part of the world...
